W&M Track and Field to host Tribe Invitational, 45th Colonial Relays This Spring
WILLIAMSBURG - The William and Mary track and field teams announced the schedules today for its two home meets, the Tribe Invitational on March 20, and the 45th Annual Colonial Relays on April 2-3. For both meets, all throwing events will take place at the Stimson Throwing Events Area, and all jumps and track events will take place inside Zable Stadium.

The Tribe Invitational is open to all interested colleges and universities, and will include every NCAA-sponsored event except the men's and women's 10,000m and multi-events. The 3,000m run for women will also be contested on Saturday afternoon. The men's hammer throw will actually take place the day before, Friday, March 19, at 4 p.m. Starting heights for the vertical jumps will be determined after entries close, and there are no measurement-minimums in the throws or horizontal jumps.
The Colonial Relays is one of the premier events held on the East Coast, and will feature more than 25 invitation-only colleges for both the men and women. Every event on the NCAA Championship schedule will be contested except the multi-events, and several additional relays will be held including the 4x200m, 4x800m, 4x1,500m, Distance Medley, and the Shuttle Hurdle Relays. Events are scored to determine a team champion for both men and women, and each championship relay team will receive a commemorative plaque.
