John Bowes has made himself a valued asset to the Tribeís program over his three years in Williamsburg with his unmatched work ethic. After spending his first season assisting with the teamís defensive line, Bowes will enter his second year of working with the teamís linebackers this fall.
In addition to the on-field responsibilities, Bowes plays a large role in helping organize the teamís video needs working under video coordinator Trey Henderson.
Last fall, Bowes helped develop one of the leagueís most productive linebacking units, including all-conference middle linebacker Jake Trantin.
Bowes joined the Tribe after spending the previous two seasons as the defensive graduate assistant at Clarion University of Pennsylvania, a NCAA Division II school in western Pennsylvania. Bowes was responsible for the secondary and conducting the scout team during practices. On game day, he assisted with player substitutions, opponent tendencies and special teams. Bowes also supported the Golden Eagles recruiting efforts evaluating high school prospects in Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and New Jersey.
Bowes was a starter in Catholicís defensive backfield during the 2003-2005 seasons, and spent the 2006 season as a defensive intern for the Cardinals. Bowes holds a bachelorís degree in Finance from Catholic University.
