Tribe Pair Compete in NCAA Menís Individual Championships

Palo Alto, Calif. - After turning in an 11th-place performance during the team competition on Thursday at the NCAA Menís Division I Gymnastics Championships, senior Dave Locke (Natick, Mass.) and sophomore James Prim (Hendersonville, N.C.) finished the Tribeís competitive schedule by competing in the eventís second round of individual competition late Friday evening.

The second round of event finals is held in conjunction with the final round of team competition. The top three individual scorers in each event who did not move from Thursdayís 12-squad preliminary field to Fridayís six-team finals field competed for a spot in the 10-person individual event championship, which was held Saturday evening.

Prim came into Fridayís action with the top score among individual qualifiers on the ring event and placed a solid 22nd on Friday with a mark of 15.000, but did not advance. Locke also was unable to advance, as his mark of 14.650 earned him 37th-place.
