Joseph W. Montgomery Strength Training Center
- Designed by strength and conditioning coach John Sauer in 1995, the Joseph W. Montgomery Strength Training Center is located in the lower level of William and Mary Hall. This 5,500-square foot facility contains 16,000 pounds of free weights, 7,500 pounds of dumbbells and 6,000 pounds of rubber bumper plates. In addition it has 18 custom-built olympic platforms, 18 multipurpose power racks, 10 dumbell benches, six seated rows, six glut-ham benches, four abdominal benches, six dip bars, two power squats, two ground-based jammers, six lat pull-downs and a fully-equipped plyometric area. The facility is named after Joseph W. Montgomery, former All-American center for the Tribe football squad in the early 1970's, whose generous donation allowed the construction of the center. Within the center is the John Sauer Speed and Conditioning Room, which was named in his honor at the 2010 Tribe Football Reunion Dinner.
