Adin Brown '00

After completing one of the finest careers in the program's history, Adin Brown took his talents to the professional level and continued to be a consistent force and a standout goalkeeper.

At W&M, Brown was a First-Team All-American in 1998 and 1999 and a Second-Team All-American in 1997. Brown, the CAA Rookie of the Year in 1996, was a two-time first-team all-conference selection and a second-team selection in 1996. Brown owns almost every career goalkeeping record at the College, ranking first in saves (417), first in shutouts (34), and first in save percentage (.841). During his time in Green and Gold, Brown's teams made NCAA Tournament appearances all four years and captured CAA crowns in 1996 and 1999.

After graduation, Brown enjoyed a five-year career in the MLS with the Colorado Rapids, Tampa Bay Mutiny and New England Revolution, before moving abroad and playing four seasons in Norway with Aalesunds FK. He was named the club’s player of the year in 2006 and 2007 and was a finalist for the Norwegian Second Division Player of the Year in 2006. He signed with the Portland Timbers of the USSF Division 2. Portland will join Major League Soccer as an expansion team in 2011.
